The WHO has reported a hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship has about 150 passengers and crew, and it is reported that one Japanese person is among them. Unfortunately, three of these six people have died, and another is in intensive care.
Hantavirus usually spreads from rodents to humans through contact with their waste or contaminated dust. Although human-to-human transmission is rare, the virus can cause severe respiratory illness.

ハンタウイルスは通常、ネズミなどの排せつ物や、それに汚染されたほこりに触れることで人に感染します。人から人への感染はまれですが、重い呼吸器の病気を引き起こすことがあります。
