Researchers Discover How the Brain Learns to Like or Dislike Others

Technology(テクノロジー)

⭐⭐⭐
A research team at the University of Tokyo has discovered how the brain decides to like or dislike other people.
In a study using mice, the scientists controlled these social feelings by changing specific brain connections. They used a method called optogenetics to adjust the signals between the brain’s memory center and emotional center. By weakening these signals, the mice stopped avoiding an aggressive mouse, effectively erasing their feeling of dislike.
This breakthrough could eventually help doctors develop new treatments for mental health conditions such as depression.
