On the morning of July 14, a fire broke out in the music preparation room at an elementary school in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Teachers quickly worked to put out the fire, and it was mostly extinguished within about ten minutes. Although a section of the room near a cleaning tool cabinet was damaged, fortunately, none of the 165 students and staff members were injured. Everyone in the school safely evacuated to the playground immediately after the fire started. Police and firefighters are now investigating the exact cause of the fire.
A similar fire also broke out in a music room in Tokyo last month.
7月14日の午前、長崎県雲仙市の小学校の音楽準備室で火災が発生しました。
教職員がすぐに消火活動を行い、火は約10分でほぼ消し止められました。掃除用具入れの近くの一部が焼けましたが、児童と職員合わせて165人にけがはありませんでした。学校にいた全員が、火災の発生後すぐにグラウンドへ安全に避難しました。警察と消防は、火事の詳しい原因を調べています。
先月には東京の音楽室でも同じような火災が起きていました。
