The United States recently stopped its military attacks on Iran after several days of bombing.
President Donald Trump paused the operations partly because American forces were running low on weapons. In response, Iran said it would also stop attacking as long as the US does not strike first. A US official said that this break gives both sides a chance for diplomatic talks.
However, Iranian leaders remain cautious because they believe the US pause may only be temporary.
