6 months after the United States and Israel launched military attacks on Iran, the conflict is still far from over.
Although both sides signed an agreement to stop the fighting, the deal quickly fell apart as the fighting continued. In response to the attacks, Iran has largely closed the Strait of Hormuz, an important sea route for global trade. To pressure Iran to change its position, the U.S. government shifted its main strategy from military strikes to tougher economic sanctions.
However, Iran refuses to reopen the important waterway until the U.S. fully follows the terms of the earlier agreement.
アメリカとイスラエルがイランへの軍事攻撃を始めてから6か月が経ちましたが、衝突はまだ終わる気配がありません。
