The World Health Organization reported that more than 3,600 people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo have been infected with Ebola, making this the country’s largest outbreak ever.
Sadly, more than 1,500 people have died because Ebola is a very deadly virus. Ongoing fighting between military forces and local rebel groups makes it difficult for doctors to reach patients and stop the spread of the disease. The situation is getting worse quickly because there is currently no approved vaccine for this strain of Ebola.
Health workers are trying their best, but they need much more support to bring this growing crisis under control.

世界保健機関（WHO）は、コンゴ民主共和国で3,600人以上がエボラ出血熱に感染し、同国で過去最大の流行になったと発表しました。
エボラは非常に致死率の高い病気で、これまでに1,500人以上が亡くなっています。現地では政府軍と反政府勢力の戦闘が続いているため、医師たちは患者のもとへ行ったり、感染の拡大を防いだりすることが難しくなっています。今回流行しているエボラの型には、現在承認されたワクチンがありません。
