As digital reading becomes more popular, fewer people are buying printed books today.
This shift in reading habits makes it very difficult for traditional publishers to make money. As a result, a growing number of publishers that produce printed books are going out of business. To survive this crisis, publishers are trying to create new ways to work directly with bookstores.
Through these efforts, they hope to protect the traditional book industry for the future.
